ASimages was founded by husband and wife team Stefan and Alison Basaj. As keen photographers for many years, they decided to form the business in 2006, Stefan following on in the footsteps of his father Leon Basaj, whom he use to watch avidly at the young age of seven, fascinated with his father's skill at developing black and white wedding photographs, in the 1950's. ASimages has now found success in galleries and exhibition centers throughout the North West area and at craft, country and steam fairs up and down the country.
ASimages trade from a long standing pitch at the historic street market in the ancient city of Lancaster, every Wednesday and Saturday. Here, an established fresh and repeat business is enjoyed retailing prints, framed and mounted, plus, the entire collection is represented in greeting card format. Being in this wonderful historic atmosphere, inspires many photographs around the old marketplace itself and the surrounding beauty of Morecambe Bay, Cheshire and beyond, prints of which have been purchased and used by the local tourist board for visiting dignitaries.
Apart from being a wonderful way to earn a living, out and about in the fresh air, meeting interesting people, many photographers themselves, the opportunity to take on photographic commissions from institutions, businesses and the general public is highly enjoyable and has proven very successful to date.
